Nuttin Better Then A True FRIEND!

Hey there!

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my sewing project! You gals are the sweetest bloggy friends I've ever had! And so, today's card is dedicated to you all! I hope you like it.

Yes, it's October Afternoon paper again. Apparently, my obsession with October Afternoon grow stronger than ever and I am waiting patiently for their next collection :)

I love making flowers from fabric and seeing that I have lots of left over fabric from my sewing project, I decided to make a few of these for my cards and probably put them on sale too. Would you buy if I do make and sell? I'll make a variations using different fabric. Even color maybe. Just a thought.

Speaking of flowers, Sharon a.ka. my partners in crime gave me these beauties when we met over lunch last week. Isn't it pretty?? She's selling these too....if you are interested, just shoot her an email. They come in four colors.

Going off now.....see ya!

It's a jungle out there....

Note: You still have two days to be one of the winner of my fun giveaway! Please scroll down....

Hello there!

I posted yesterday that I was busy making 'something' which is non-paper related and some of you show interest. I'm ready to share them with you today....it's my first time so please don't laugh.

Last week, I had a fun idea of doing something for my lil nephew (btw, his name is Dayan). So, I went out and bought these...

With my magic wand, I turned them into these....lol. Well, it's the needle and thread that do the magic. It requires a lot of work because you know that I don't own a sewing machine. So all these were done by hand. But it's fun! Oh yeah....I give them names too.

This is Giffy....

This is Ellie....

And meet Rhiney....(lol, I'm trying to make they rhyme)

Let's just say that I am proud to made my first ever stuffed toys. My high school art teacher would be so proud of me! Btw, can you believe I fail my arts when I was in high school? I kid you not.

Do you think I should post a tutorial on how to make these? Would you be interested? Let me know...

Day In The Life

Happy Monday lovelies!

I know it's collecting dust here but things have been pretty tied up for me last week....plus I was sick for two days so not much has been done except a card which I'm sharing today. Yesterday, I was busy making something......well, just say something I've never done before and it's non-paper related. It's almost 80% complete and hopefully it's ready by tomorrow. So in between of doing 'something', I managed to squeeze some time and whip out this card for Paper Crafts Go-to Sketch Challenge. Now, this challenge is really a challenge to me. I've been staring and fiddling with the paper for what seems like an hour but nothing came. I still don't know how I managed to come up with this card....lol :)

The kraft patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye and the sentiment die-cut is from Pink Paislee. The floral vellum is from a local company called Moof. Lace is from my stash.

I'm going off now.....see you soon! Have a great day!

More stamp?

Hello there! Thank you so much for all of your lovely comments from my last post. I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who suffer from the "stamp addiction" :) My stamp addiction started small and overtime it has grown into something big and it's getting serious. If I could buy all of my favourite stamps, I so would! Or maybe I should strike a lottery first....lol :)

One thing I love about stamp is that you can make load of cards within a short period of time. Especially when you need a quickie card....cool.

Before I end this post, my talented friend Lindsay awarded me this last week. Lindsay is also in the Tiffany Doodle Design Team with me and it's a great honor working alongside with her. You should totally check out her blog if you haven't already!! Her blog Note To Self is chock full of inspirations!

Oh yeah....the "Fun Giveaway" is still running and ends on Wednesday, June 30. You still have time to leave your comment if you are interested. Please scroll down for the post....

See ya!

Embellish Babies Color Challenge

**This is my second post of the day....please scroll down for the first.

Yesterday's weather has been cold and wet and it's great for our terribly hot weather. I even developed rashes on my back and neck due to the intense heat. And I can't sleep without turning on the air-cond every night. It's bad I know but the heat and humidity is unbearable.

Today's card is inspired by the color challenge at Embellish Magazine. The theme for this round is baby. I go for a non-traditional baby card where you don't see baby "things" on the card except for the sentiment. The reason is because I don't have a baby stamp or baby embellishments in my stash. Seriously! So instead, I used the chipboard bird by K&Co and paired with letter stickers by Prima.

I hope you like this card and thanks for your visit!

Many Thanks

Hello there!

Lately, I've been playing a lot with my stamps and I'm seriously addicted to it. This kind of addiction will definitely burn a hole in my pocket as I've been eyeing a few stamp set from Papertrey Ink already....oh boy!

Here's what I made with Hero Arts and Papertrey Ink stamps. I'm all smile when I finished working on it....it's such a girlie girl card, don't you think? I may use lots of pastel and soft colors on my cards but don't be suprise that dark colors such as black dominates my wardrobe. In person, I'm not a girly girl at all. In fact, I prefer casual over the girl-next-door kind of style. It's just not me and I'm just surprised over my choice of colors and style when it comes to cardmaking. I never thought I could create a girly or shabby chic cards.

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Cue {5} Challenge

Happy Monday to y'all! I hope you had a great weekend!

Today I'm sharing a card inspired by Dawn's Color Cue Challenge. I love her choice of colors and her fresh and clean style! She constantly inspires me and I was so surprised when she featured this card on her blog. Thanks so much, Dawn!

I finally put some ink on the bird house stamp by Crate Paper. So proud of myself...lol :) Since I do not have a proper branch stamp in my stash, I used the one from my PTI Christmas set from last year and it work just fine. Then, I applied a generous amount of glossy accent on the stamped bird house.

Oh and before I go, I just want to tell you that this card was featured on Cards blog challenge gallery. Doing the happy dance here :)

Thank you for visiting! Have a great day!

Something FUN!

Happy Saturday my lovely friends!!

If you are regular to my blog, you will noticed that I rarely post on weekends but I make it an exception for today because I have something fun to share. A giveaway!! Together with my uber sweet and talented friends, Wati and Jessy, we came up with the idea of doing a "FUN GIVEAWAY" on our blogs! Each of us will give out a prize to one of our lucky blog readers and all you need to do is to leave a comment on this post. This giveaway is open through Wednesday, June 30 (Malaysian time). I will annouce the winner on Thursday, July 1.

The deets:
- 6 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper by Making Memories
- Pink Paislee rub-on
- American Crafts sticker
- American Crafts felt flowers
- SEI Metal Accents
- Lily Bee organza flower

The reason of having this giveway is to show our appreciation and gratitude towards our loyal blog readers. I sincerely thank you for your support and for the comments that you all left on each and every of my post! THANK YOU and a BIG HUG goes to each of you who come here!!

I am a happy aunt!

Yep.....that's me! My sis-in-law gave birth to my nephew yesterday. Since his arrival into this world, he has officially took over his brother's throne and became the new 'prince' in my mom's heart....lol :) He's such a cutie pie!

Today I have a father's day card for you. No, this card is not for my own father but rather an order I received weeks ago. Well, truth is my father left our family when I was younger and I never celebrate father's day nor birthday with him. I think I can count with my ten fingers the number of times we sit down together for a meal. Alright, I think I should spare you with my soapy story.....you are here for the card afterall :)

For this card, I am using cardstock by Core'dinations and I ran it through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder. To reveal the turqoise core, I used a nail file and sand away the raised surface. The text paper is by October Afternoon and the journaling spot is by Cosmo Cricket. Then, I add eyelets to the corners of the card using my crop-a-dile. Voila....an easy peasy card in 2 hours. Lol...yeah....that's how long it took me to create this card. I struggled quite a lot with this card and as you know masculine card is not my niche. I am not even sure if I like this card but it's definitely a CAS style for me.

Finally........

.......I scrapped!! Yep....my first layout! Well, come to think of it, this is not really my 1st layout because I did two layouts during Sheila's class back in May.  But this is my first design and I'm so happy with it! You will see more of this.....I assure you :)

In case you wondered....no, the bride in the photo is not me but my best friend Waynie. She wants to frame up her wedding photo and so, I happily volunteered to make this for her. I hope she likes it as much I do :)

The paper I used is an old collection from My Mind's Eye called Tres Jolee. Ohhh...I super love the paper! The colors are soft and subtle (Thanks to Sheila for 'hoarding' this....hugs!) Also thanks to Vi for the sentiment die-cut by K&Co! It's perfect!

And ohh....before I go, I really want to thank Jessy and Wati for the inspirations! You gals rock!

My Favourite Things

Happy Monday  to y'all! I hope you had a great weekend! I did not spend as much time on craft as I would like to but I did create a few cards during the weekend. I know you've been seeing lots of simple and quick cards last week, so today I'm sharing a shabby card that I made using lots of my favourite stuff.

I created hundreds of card but none of them are for myself. When this card was almost ready and before I add the sentiment, I realized that all the elements used on this card are my favourites. There are butterfly, polka dots, Prima jewels and flower, doily, October Afternoon paper, Cuttlebug embossing swiss dots, Papertrey Ink cardstock, blue and pink color combo, and lastly border punch. And when I saw the metal sinage by Making Memories, I knew instantly that the sentiment is perfect for this card. And I'm going to dedicate this card to myself to remind me of my favourite things :) I hope you like it!

More cards from the weekend

Hello lovelies!

Here are the two cards that I promised to share yesterday. One is shabby and the other is fun. The first card has a very simple design using Creative Imaginations paper, K&Co die-cuts (it's from my friend, Vi) and chipboard butterflies. I think I made this card within 10mins.....told you it's simple :)

Next is a card using October Afternoon paper and die-cuts, Making Memories letter stickers and the cute jornaling spot is a RAK by Jessy. I had it for months and I am so glad that I finally use it on my cards :)

I hope you like them! See ya!
