One of my favorite things to open on Christmas morning is my stocking. Its always been one of my favorite things to do and we also open our stockings before we have breakfast. Then presents afterwards.Today I thought I would offer some suggestions on what you can stuff in a stocking for your favorite mom, sister, daughter etc. if you are running out of ideas.
I am known for giving out tooth paste and a tooth brush each year and what better reminder then this to change your tooth brush.
Another item I usually stuff in the stocking is chocolate. Who doesn't love that? This is the Lindts shaped one, our favorite.
As you can see I have some bubble bath pouches and some facial masks so that the busy mom or whoever you are giving this too can have a time out and relax.
I always get deodorant for Christmas and have since I was a teenager. Its tradition.
Another fun thing you can throw in is make up such as eyeshadow, lip gloss, lipstick, nail polish, nail files(not pictured), hand lotion and EOS smooth sphere (lip balm). Plus if you happen to buy them at a beauty counter (the Bay, Sears, pharmacy's or Sephora you can ask for samples and throw those in as well)
Since I am a book blogger and book lover I love getting bookmarks (and yes those are owls you see there), book flags, pens and a cute owl note book for making notes and it fits perfectly in a purse.
You can put a small calendar or pocket agenda in there too so she can keep track of things (that NYC calendar was actually a bday present I got hehe)
In most stores they sell indiviual pouches of drinks and one of my favorites is apple cider and its a perfect drink to have relaxing after a busy day of visiting on Christmas day. So if you know she likes a specific drink why not pick it up for her.
While we (my son and I) were out one day he spotted this cute owl key chain and wanted to pick that up for me along with this bracelet. So I thought I would add those to the picture. Not pictured but I just remembered is a keep sake ornament and yes I will probably get something Owly.
Another thing you can add is gift cards, who wouldn't love a few bucks for coffee or a book etc. Lottery tickets make another great stocking stuffer idea.
I also get a magazine in my stocking. Its usually one I normally don't buy on a regular bases so its a treat one.
The ideas are endless on what you can add to a stocking. Just fill it with things she might love, her favorite things or let the kids shop and pick out a few things for her.
