Monochromatic Love

Yippeee!! It's Fridayyyy! Let's do the happy dance together! You can tell that I'm in a good mood today :) I've already got plans for tonight and over the weekend. And the best thing is, Monday is a holiday! WOOHOO!

Ok...enough about my excitement over the long holiday. Let me show you the card that I made. I wasn't planning on making any card yesterday because I was tired (been sleep deprived since last week). I reached home at 9pm, took my shower and went to my craft room to sort out the mess I created. While looking through the stuff I have, I realized that I have some collection of black rub-ons. You know black is not my usual color but this rub-ons is calling out to me (I'm weird that way). Guess what? A girl who's supposed to be in bed by 10pm ended up making cards way past her bedtime :) And this is what she created.....

Ok...I know I said that my love for shabby chic is fading but somehow I ended up with this. Notice the monochromatic color? This is my first time trying mono card and I'm entering it for the Caardvarks challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Core'dinations and coincidentally the card base I used is also by this company. I was searching high and low for black cardstock then I stumbled upon this black cardstock with turquise core by Core'dinations. The alphabets and love rub-ons is by Glitz Design. The glitter chipboard heart is by Melissa Frances which my super sweet friend, Carly graciously sent to me all the way from Canada (Thanks hun!) The stitching at the bottom is not real though....it's rub-ons by Cherry Arte. The card is not complete without the beautiful lil flower by Prima :)

I'll be back tomorrow with another Cutting Cafe card. Till then....see you!

Happy Home + U R Berry Sweet

Hey there!

Today I have not one but two cards to share with you. I was in the mood of creating yesterday and as soon as I reached home from dinner with my family, I dashed into my craft room and started to dig into my old pile of October Afternoon paper. My love for shabby chic cards started to fade and I'm back with my simple and fun style. I would not say that my style is clean because I can't seem to leave the white space alone. I just have to add something to it.

First up is a card I made for 2S4Y.

Don't you love that puffy thickers from American Craft :)

Thanks for coming by and leave me some love. I hope you are having a great day!

Hello Friends!!

Hello there! I hope you are having a great day! I have a card to show you but before I get on to that, let me share a good news with you. This card was featured in the Embellish Stitching Color Challenge that I particpated a while ago. Yay! I'm doing the happy dance right now!

Also, I received this award from one of my sweetest and super talented friend, Carly! You should really check out her awesome blog. You'll be amazed I promise you.

Ok...I'm supposed to list 10 random facts about myself (warning: it could be boring so you may skip this part if you wish) So, here goes....

1. I must have a cup of coffee everyday.

2. I'm very impatient on the road and when I get mad, I'll drove very fast (that's bad I know).

3. I used to have people telling me that I look very serious and fierce but once they got to know me, I'm a total opposite. A bit on the crazy side I would say :)

4. It's only 5 min drive to Smidapaper (my local scrapbookstore) and I visit them almost every Saturday. We just joked about it last week that this is my new hang out place.

5. I met my husband when I was 17 years old and got married after been together for almost 11 years. It's a love at first sight kinda thing.

6. I got married a year ago but have not gone for our honeymoon yet. I insist that we go Bali and I'm still waiting....

7. I spend too much time on the internet.

8. My pet peeve is rude people.

9. My favourite show is Glee. I never missed a single episode and I can't wait for the 2nd season to air.

10. I consider myself  lucky to have a bunch of good and caring friends. I love them!

It's really fun to list down random things about myself. And I'm going to pass this on to 10 amazing friends that I've come to know through blogging.

1.Yvonne  2.Evelin  3.Jessy  4.Annie  5.Jill  6.Sparkle  7.Tiffany  8.Bonnie  9.Vivacela  10.Wati

I made this card yesterday night using more paper from American Crafts. It's all cut and paste....no stamping. I just realized that I have lots of paper and stickers that's been sitting in my basket (yeah I keep my supplies in basket) for too long. I promised myself to use them more often on my cards.

That's all I have for you today! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs!

Thank You

Happyyy Fridayyy!! Yippeee!!! You know I always welcome Friday with open arms! I'll be staying over my mom's house over the weekend with no internet access, so I'm sharing this with you today. The color is totally inspired by a decor magazine I was reading. This is not my usual color but I thought of giving it a shot and do something out of my comfort zone. If you notice, you'll hardly see purple on my card unless if it's for challenge. Otherwise, no purple at all. It's not that I don't like this color.....just that I never thought of it. I don't know why. But I love how this turned out. What do you think?

Laura's Sketch 50

Hey there! Just a quick post to show you the card I made for 2S4Y. The color was inspired by Embellish Magazine....Ashley does have an innate ability to match colors! The polka dots, butterfly and sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. The beautiful ribbon is from Perfectly Pretty, an Etsy store owned by my talented friend, Carly. Can you tell that my latest favourite are these cute lil flowers by Prima???

I know I have not visit some of you for a while BUT I promise I will when things are back to its normal pace. Hugs to you all!!

Dear Lizzy

This card uses lots of Dear Lizzy line courtesy of my sweet friend, Jessy! She knows that I love this and graciously gave me a RAK full of Dear Lizzy stuff! (Thanks dearie!) I am so fortunate and it's a blessing to be surrounded by so many great friends! That's the reason why I LOVE blogging!! This card is dedicated to all my bloggy friends....I really wish I could hang out with each and everyone of you!

Color Cue {3} Challenge

Hello friend! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Today is Monday and I'm usually not at my best on this particular day. You can say that I've been hit with Monday blues......every week! However, today is an exception because this card has made to the top 5 at 2S4Y!! YAY! I have a big smile plaster on my face as I am typing this. Thanks to the 2S4Y team!

Now onto today's card. The color combo is based on a challenge hosted by my talented friend, Dawn! I was at first intimidated by the challenge but decided to give it a shot anyway. I would not have thought of using this color combo myself but to my utter amazement, I love the end result! Thanks for the inspiration Dawn!

Everything on this card except the gray cardstock is by Papertrey Ink. The text background is stamped in white acrylic paint. Yes, you've heard me right. I tried with white ink on a piece of scrap but the result isn't that prominent so I opt for white paint instead. I love my new discovery!

Have a great day!

Malting Plant 2

Hello Friends!

Happyy Fridayyy!! Love when it's Friday!

When I got back from work yesterday, I was so inspired to create with my Papertrey Ink stamps! Can you tell that I love polka dots? Yes, they are my all time favourite pattern! Once again, I de-hoard the prima flowers that Sheila gave me. Lovely! The design is based upon Kazan's sketch. Wow....it's their 50th sketch already! 2S4Y is the very first sketch challenge that I joined when I started cardmaking. It was only 7th or 8th sketch when I first join them...and now it has reach 50! How time flies!

Hope you are off to a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Little One

Hey friends! A quick pop in to share with you the card I made using the fabulous digital image by The Cutting Cafe. Ohhh...how I love the "All About Babies" set!! I printed the cute lil pram onto PTI rustic cream cardstock and fussy cut. Then, I embossed it using my cuttlebug and to achieve that shabby look, I distressed it with Ranger's Tea Dye ink. Then, I decorate the pram with lace, pearls and buttons. I finally broke out the Prima flowers that Sheila gave me (thanks dear!).....they are just lovely!

Hope you are having a good day!

Welcome Little One

Hello there and Happy Tuesday! Hope you are off to a good start today! I have another Cutting Cafe card to share with you. I printed the sail boat from "All About Babies" onto cardstock, fussy cut and embossed the sails with my cuttlebug. I changed things a bit by adding eyelets to the boat. This is another fun way of me using scraps. Yep...everything here is from my "scrap tray" :) I also scraplift the design from one of my card.

There are 40 assorted images in this set and you ought to check out the store to see them all!
